File extensions in Quick Scene and TRACS

Many users are experiencing this problem when saving drawings in Quick Scene.

Error Message:
"Unknown File Type. Unrecognized File Extension. Make sure that file extensions are on in Windows Explorer."

Here is the solution to fixing the problem.
This problem exists when the computers don’t have their file extensions turned on in Windows Explorer. There are 3 things that need to be checked or unchecked to fix the problem.

In Windows Explorer got to the Tools pull-down menu and then to Folder Options.
Click to the View tab.
Check the 2 boxes with this wording, “Display the full path in the title bar” & “Show hidden files and folders”
Uncheck the box for “Hide file extensions for known file types”.
That should fix the saving issues.

This is how it is done on a Windows XP machine. But it is very similar to the other Windows OS platforms (Vista & Windows 7).
