Putting it all together

Postby g1white » Tue Jul 27, 2010 2:39 am

I have been using Fire Zone for a number of years in conjunction iWitness photogrammetry software to produce wildland fire origin area diagrams. As well as iWitness, I also use a consumer grade Garmin GPS to document important locations (reference points, fence lines, power poles, etc.). I would like to be able to import that GPS data into my Fire Zone drawings and overlay it all on a aerial or satellite photo, and get it all in the same scale. I realize this going to be a multi-step process, but in the end I will have an integrated diagram with all of the information I collected in the field. Is there a way to do this?

OK, I found the GPS radio button on the ASCII data table import but I can't make it work with the output files from my Garmin GPS, any suggestions?

See if the Garmin can obtain the data in the format we use in the ASCII coordinate table. That is the only suggestion I can offer you.
